Reuse, R reusing old building materials. Energy Conversation is really important in new buildings but also with existing building. Existing buildings can often times by retrofitted at a lower cost as compared to building a completely new building.

We need to retool our existing cities to be more sustainable.

Greening your existing home by using the equity that you have built up in it.

We will have a resource for sharing construction waste, resources and by products. For example: Is there someone that needs to have some dirt removed? Is there someone who is willing to have some of his local Hickories harvested? We can coordinate this well in a small community but also in a bigger one.

Finding the right way to approach people from different backgrounds. Some people on the country side may not feel like the environment is in peril. Knowing how to approach people to promote a green community is important.

We have rules and regulations in some of our communities in effect, that are not helpful for the establishment of green building and greener living. for example limitation on how much food we can grow in our backyard? Some utility companies make it difficult to sell electricity back to the utility company from the renewable resources that you may generate at your property.

We can create a barter network in our community. We can even create a system to keep track of this. We can get together and bank this information. We can work together. We keep an inventory system of a wish-list.

Local Currency.
